PTAA Honors Sharon Paulo

Sharon Paulo has been a driving force in the Polynesian, (namely the Hawaiian) community, for over 4 decades.

She is widely seen as and considered “the catalyst” for bringing Pacific Islanders together. Her willingness to address and support the needs and concerns of Native Hawaiians in the eastern most deserts of Southern California in the area of health and welfare, community advocacy, leadership development, socio-economic sustainability and activities which promote the civic life of the community, has made positive changes for – and has indeed benefited those people of Hawaiian and Polynesian ancestry, living in the state of California.

Sharon – as a leader in our community, through her involvement in many organizations – has committed her life to uniting the community-at-large through her bonds of friendship, good fellowship, mutual respect and understanding, through her notable contributions of preserving the cultural traditions of the Native Hawaiian people living in the Continental United States and Alaska.
